Mood Board

 

Through doing this mood board we were able to plan what type of fashion we would have our performers wearing, what settings we would use and what colours we want our music video to be dominated by. We mood boarded our ideas which we thought would look good in our video regarding clothing and the certain style we thought would fit the genre of the music we are making the video too. With the mood board we also stuck down images of locations we wanted to use. This is incredibly important as well because our clothing could be dependant on the location so that everything fits in well together and looks relevant. We looked at both the male and female look as well so we got an idea as to what we want our couple looking like. We looked at both genders because we are having a boy and a girl in our video. As well as all these factors we also planned what type of props we want to use in our video such as a red phone box or close ups on certain objects. This would be linking to the auteur theories where they always use something in their films or videos. This is one thing we mood boarded because it would stand out and be emphasised if we used the right camera angles, editing and mise en scene. Amongst all this we paid particular care when mood boarding to keep the colours of all the clothes, locations and styles to bright, wintery colours. This is because we want our video to be happy but at the same time in the theme of winter. This is important because colour is a main component of a good music video.
