Door Sequence

This is a scene which we have been working on and took particular care and precision of in the editing stages. This is because there were many different doors that we wanted to fit into a very limited amount of time of five seconds. Editing was hard as we had to incorporate film of each door evenly to fit with the tempo of the song and the way in which the lyrics are made up. We intend to use this scene on almost time that this line of lyrics is repeated as it brings a focal point to our video and the repetition of some scenes are a trait that we found to be very typical of professional editors and film makers.

Photoshoot 2

This is my second photoshoot for my digipak which I took at location. I underwent another photoshoot because I wanted a wider variety of images for my digipak so that it looks more appealing to my audience, and also looks more engaging. I also wanted to include the red phone box which is one of the more outstanding scenes in our music video.

Phone Box Scene

Here is some of the footage we shot for our music video. We will use this footage we shot from 0.47 - 0.56 in our music video. The lyrics for this part of the song are:

these sidewalks liquid then stone
building walls and an old pay phone
it rings like all through the daylight
it rings like all through the daylight

Digipak Photoshoot Plan

Here are the pictures I took in my first digipak photo shoot for my six sided digipak. I wanted to capture images of mainly James' face so that the audience can gain eye contact with the artist on the front. I wanted to do this because it is an effective camera angle to have in my digipak as it's a striking image.

Filming Day 2- 17/11/13

On Sunday 17th November 2013 we undertook our second day of filming, but the first with our actor. We spent the day filming in Clifton and Bristol where we filmed at our various locations. We filmed in Clifton Village park, the Harbour side outside the RWA and inside the Bristol Museum which by the end of the day is around 40 seconds of our video. We were in Bristol and Clifton from around 09:00 - 15:30 where we walked around to our various locations and shot our scenes. We used our own camera, tripod and gimbal to shoot our music video for the still and moving image parts of our video. We shot what we needed to and all the itinerary we set we completed.

Yellow Lines Scene Practice

This video is some of the footage we took when we went into Bristol and Clifton to film some of our music video such as the Time Lapse. We wanted to concentrate on a particular sequence which entails a long take. Here is the scene in chronological order:
  • Tracking of the yellow lines on the side of the road
  • Gradually bringing up the camera to knee height and our actor walking in to shot.
  • The camera tracking up his body to head height and an over the shoulder shot.
  • Tracking him from behind looking at the art museum which finishes the sequence as an establishing shot.
This video is a plan and a practice of what our real finished sequence will look like but we wanted to test how it might look when finished.
